Around 4:30 in the morning this Thursday, a thief attacked a restaurant in the Arganzuela district. He only took six knives, according to a spokeswoman for the Madrid Police Headquarters, which is investigating the events.
The thief entered the restaurant located on Epifanio Street, near Madrid Río, after smashing a road sewer into the establishment’s window. The individual, who was covered with a T-shirt over his head and carrying a flashlight, prepared to open all the drawers, according to images broadcast by Telemadrid.
Without stealing the cash register or other products from the premises, the thief fled through the same place where he entered. After the roar of the sewer above the restaurant, the residents of the area called the police, but when the agents went to the area of the incident they could not find him.
The owner of the premises has assured that this is not the first time that the individual enters the restaurant to only take these cutlery items.
